Production

For maximum throughput, Production should be determined by the bottlenecks. Bottlenecks must be treated as critical equipment for maintenance purposes. We must ensure we have extra capacity and availability before and after the bottlenecks. Having the right materials (in both quality and quantity), proper tools and qualified people with the appropriate workload also matters. Adjusting production properly, not only uncovers “hidden” capacities but also ensures a sustainable pace, getting more products out of the door.

As a side effect, we also reduce yield losses, scrap, and waste. Also important for the ESG agenda.

Of course, safety and efficiency go hand in hand. It makes no sense to be more productive if that is not achieved with a clean safety record.
